The importance of being seen to be liberal

I am currently waging a (personal) war against self proclaimed liberals, who protest their working class credentials whilst clearly residing very comfortably in the middle classes.

To be blunt, I find them to be utterly vomit inducing. My substantial stomach churns with incredulity as I read their proliferation of faux outrage at various mundanes.

Parochial concern so bizarre and without reference to any microcosm that can be discerned? Check.

Consistent self congratulatory trumpeting of their 'green' credentials, coupled with incumbent total disregard of alleged credentials when it suits them? Check.

Inability to accept any form of criticism, however constructive or delicately phrased, without verbally reacting like Bronson to a prison guard? Check.

Able to provoke the desire to rip off their arms and twat them, for a prolonged period, with the soggy end until you are able to beat some sort of sense into their bizarre minds? Check.

It is glorious that you are so opinionated, it really is, and I have no doubt that you are oh-so-much-more clever-er than what I is, but please, just for a moment. Be quiet. Look around. Can you see that there are people out there enjoying themselves, and they don't need for you to be shouting your flaccid and puerile opinions at such volume that they can't enjoy the environs?

So please, for a time - shush.

It's so nice to know I'm not the only who feels that way!
